About Ennui Design

Ennui Design is an independent design and development effort from professional geek Jason Lengstorf (that's me!) specializing in custom web development.

I've been building websites since the tender age of seventeen, first as a hobby, then as a way of making a little extra cash on the side, and finally, in 2008, as my primary occupation.

Aside from web design, I'm also an author in the technical realm. I've written one book so far, titled PHP for Absolute Beginners (Apress, October 2009), with a second one tentatively scheduled for release in spring/summer 2010. I also maintain a semi-regular blog here on Ennui Design, and occasionally post articles on other sites around the net, including CSS-Tricks, NETTUTS, and Smashing Magazine.

When not glued to my keyboard, I'm likely standing in line for coffee, brewing my own beer, lifting heavy things, or pretending to know something about wine.
